I use a stronger pump with a cartridge filter instead of the sand filter as I run an automatic sweeper and solar heating loop. It had minor pinhole leaks that were patched with glue when it was moved from one location to another. A few parts have rusted (saline pool) and one pipe broke when the ground sank below the pool.
